  1. Yeah but woodwind instruments should last forever... I guess that would be true of the stone if you don't use it.
  2. That happens sometimes. Speaking of Metaxa, how does the Grande Fine compare to the 7 star? I find that the 7 star has too much of a sweet/raisin-ey taste to it. Is the Grande Fine more of the same but just smoother or it is less sweet?
  3. Does it involve a mug and soldering iron?
  4. Couldn't find the original reference to Dinny's Sweet and Hot Manhattanlike drink so I poured myself a Van Winkle Lot B, Carpano Antica, and cherry bitters. Was good and now I am sleepy.
  5. I think I will do that (keep the water running a bit during the coldest times of the night). By the way, do you just need to drip one faucet? This is what we did last year when we had a hard freeze - the same time we woke up and noticed that our neighbors sprinkler system was spraying water all over the street because it froze. I just went and covered all the exposed pipes outside and tried to cover up the vents to under the house (with towels) that get the most wind (we have a pier and beam house and most of the pipes under the house are not insulated).
  6. I read that below freezing is ok (at least if it it just overnight) for pipes but when it gets around 20 (at least in southern states where houses aren't built for cold weather) overnight, you have to start worring. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
  7. Everyone says that it looks even better in person - cannot wait to get it.
  8. I was just trying to decide if I should wrap up the exposed pipes and leave water dripping tonight. It should stay above 20 here so I think we are ok but you never know.
  9. I will probably just get something locally at Microcenter (maybe something like the Timbuk2 case that is in the Freestyle - that works well probably because of the soft fabric inside). I don't need anything special... just something to keep the dirt and crud out and something that isn't too bulky. @Mike and Dinny: The Cache size 1 and ipad cache do seem to be different so maybe the ipad cache is slightly larger.
  10. Now I am confused. I have canceled my order for the Cache for now.
  11. I thought they would fit the ipad inside of the Apple Case because of this post. http://www.tombihn.com/blog/node/1272 I just ordered the one that was an option for the Copilot and said "ipad." I better find out and/or cancel my order before it is too late.
  12. Realizing I could carry the laptop in the Aeronaut, I ordered the Copilot in black (with Absolute strap and ipad cache). I hope to be able to use it as my everyday "purse." It will carry slightly more than the Timbuk2 Freestyle that I have. The big plus for me in the water bottle holder and the fact that it is just large enough to carry a pad a paper. It should be the perfect "personal item" to carry onboard with the Aeronaut. Think I may end up canceling my travel team gator order. I just don't know what I would use it for (except maybe as a camera bag for the DSLR). I like the look of the Timbuk2 Freestyle and TB Copilot more than the Gator (I actually don't like the outside pockets on the Red Oxx bags very much). Any suggestions?
  13. I guess I can stick with my the Timbuk2 Freestyle bag (or Gator when it arrives) as my personal item, for ipad+small camera+other stuff, and stuff cords and laptop in the Aeronaut.
  14. My, look at all the pretty drinks! Want, especially a Sweet-N-Hot Bourhatten.
  15. Tom Bihn is fast, my ordered shipped this afternoon! I was looking at the Tom Bihn ID bag to take as a personal item to carry along with the Aeronaut when I need to carry the Macbook Pro (15") on a trip. For those who have one, would this be too big to work as a personal item? I wouldn't be using this for everyday needs as I already have a Chrome Soma for that. However, I think the Chrome bag is too big for a personal item (plus it looks like a backpack which sometimes isn't allowed for personal items) although it does fit underneath the seat. Also, it would be too difficult to carry the the Chrome when using the Aeronaut as a backpack.
  16. Decided that I really <3 my Thunderpants. Thunderpants Ho!
  17. Moar cheap but drinkable Malbec: 2009 Kaiken
  18. I'll wait and get my tri-star in ultraviolet.
