  1. Welcome back Naaman!!! :prettyprincess: Having a Hendricks and Dolin Dry dirty martini (jalapeno stuffed) olives now but will be toasting your return with a Parker 27 after I finish this. That sounds good. That sounds *very* good.
  2. Pretty nice handles there! I like #13.
  3. Please do wear that on your last day of work if you decide to quit or get fired. It is quite annoying.
  4. Seems that they still have some Tristars in Indigo (will ship in March). I ordered one last night. My husband thinks the black is boring and has claimed the Aeronaut as his own because he likes the color. I figure he needs a matchng Tristar before they run out. They are comng out with new colors. I wonder what they will be and if I should return the black Tristar and get one of the new colors...
  5. Too lazy to mix something so I am settling for a little Parker 27yr.
  6. Dinny, I love the interior of the Tristar (Iberian which is a really nice color red). It is just that, after seeing the Indigo, the black looks kinda stuffy and boring... maybe good if you are a boring suit though. Of course, I did wear a blue t-shirt with cookie monster on it to work today so maybe you might be looking for something a little more professional. Also, they are not going to have Black and Ultraviolet, just Steel and Ultraviolet. I am going to do a little practice packing this weekend. Once I figure out how much I can fit in the bag, I will probably feel much better about the purchase.

Damn, too bad I gave away my Roku box.
  8. Nice! Let me guess, the 1946 Grand Champagne Maison Surrene Cognac for only $599? MS Cognac
  9. I got the TriStar today, seems like a nice little bag, I like all the separate compartments. First impressions, it seems pretty small but I haven't tried packing it yet. Also, the black isn't nearly as pretty as the Indigo. I am thinking of sending it back and waiting for the Indigo... we'll see.
  10. Looking a little low on the Maison Surrenne.
  11. Anvil #36: Gin Gin Mule Thought I wouldn't like this since it called for Ginger Beer. However, I got some Sprecher's Ginger Ale as suggested by Vicki and Matt and used that.... to my surprise, I really liked this drink. The Sprecher's Ginger Ale is fairly subtle. 2 oz Blue Coat gin 3/4 oz lime juice 1/2 oz agave Syrup (instead of simple syrup) fresh mint Sprecher's Ginger Ale Muddle fresh mint with agave syrup and lime juice. Add gin and ice and shake until cold. Strain into a glass filled with ice. Top with ginger ale and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
  12. No pun intended? Seriously, that sucks and is scary.
  13. Did you finish "Vintage Spirits and Forgotten Cocktails?" I just checked and I still have 49 left to go on Anvil! I am kinda slow.
  14. Fade to Black - yummy indeed Will do, thanks!
  15. I bought a six pack of Left Hand Fade to Black Vol II "smoked baltic porter" today and I would like to be drinking one right now... but I have to go pick up our seminar speaker so it will have to wait.
  16. Raffy: I love the Pappy 20yr! Good buy. I'll pick up some Sprecher's Ginger Soda today - they carry it at the grocery store where I shop. I have liked all their other sodas.
  17. Back to the Anvil List tonight. I got some Ginger Beer and planned to make all three cocktails calling for Ginger Beer but didn't have any fresh mint so I couldn't make the Gin Gin Mule. Didn't really love either of the drinks I made with the Ginger Beer but I am becoming quite convinced that I just don't like ginger in my drinks. Anvil # 30 El Diablo 1.5 oz Casa Noble Crystal Tequila 1/2 oz. Creme de Cassis 1/2 Lime Top off with Ginger Beer Anvil #89 Suffering Bastard 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice 1/2 oz Eagle Rare 10yr Bourbon 1/2 oz Old Raj Gin 1 dash Angostura Bitters 2 oz Ginger Beer I didn't end up drinking either of the last two drinks so I decided to make another. Anvil #66 Paradise 1 oz Old Raj Gin 1/2 oz Rothman and Winter Orchard Apricot 1/2 oz fresh squeezed orange juice 1 dash fresh squeezed lemon juice While this drink wasn't anything spectacular, it was certainly drinkable and I could see myself making another in the future.
  18. Beds are good... for sleeping and stuff like that.
  19. Not sure what you mean by purselike. I usually carry it over one shoulder but it doesn't look like a woman's purse. Here are a couple of really bad photos to give you a better idea of the size. It seems that I don't know how to take pictures in a mirror... really I just don't know how to take pictures at all. ]
  20. That looks very good Marc! I am enjoying a large pour of Caol Ila 12yr, cheers!
