  1. How do you like the Tom Basil Gimlet, Marc? Texas sized margarita 3oz Casa Noble tequila 2oz Cointreau 1oz lime juice Large squeeze of Agave syrup Everything is bigger and better in Texas (as long as you are not in a dry county).
  2. Very cool! I want one, I am sure they will be gorgeous. Tyler is really pretty... there are some nice lakes in the area, it seems. I cannot imagine living there though.
  3. 3 pounds of beef jerky (jalapeno and hickory smoked) from Woody's Smokehouse on my drive home.
  4. It really is amazing the number of "straight" married men that hang out at gay bars looking for some action. Women are pretty much the opposite. There are quite a few women in lesbian relationships who are, in general, more attracted to men than women but have been hurt by men and who feel safe and comfortable with another women. So they turn to the same sex not for sexual gratification buy emotional gratification. I have also known women who say that they aren't gay but just X-sexual (where X is the name of their partner). On another note, I have had a few straight women who have been interested in fooling around with me (because I wasn't really butch they basically said). One woman was really attractive and I even had a little crush on her (not my first straight woman crush unfortunately). I never did anything because I didn't feel comfortable messing around with someone that I didn't know well and I had a fear of getting too emotionally attached (which women tend to do when there is kissing and stuff involved). Ken, I am really sorry to hear about Gary. I watched my uncle die of AIDS when I was in high school and it was a terrible thing. RIP Gary.
  5. Spent the last three days in Tyler, TX, in a dry county (which means you can only buy beer/wine/liquor at a restaurant/bar) and the best thing that I could find at a restaurant or bar was Shiner Bock, Abita Amber or Glenlivet... so that is what I was stuck with. Isn't really so bad but next time I will stock the car up before taking the drive. Now I am sitting in the back yard, drinking a DFH 60 minute and enjoying life.
  6. That does look awesome Steve. I just got back from my first trip to real Texas. [Realized that even though I have now lived in Texas for almost 11 years of my life, this is the first time I have spent time in a non-beach non-city area of Texas.] Spent the last three at a conference in Tyler, TX (in a dry county). I am very happy to be back! Have a lot of HC catchup to do.
  7. You look a lot happier with the Irish Manhattan! *Anvil* Collins (Tom) 2 oz Citadelle Reserve gin 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice 1 tsp agave syrup Top with Pellegrino sparkling water Not too exciting... especially since I added too much sparkling water... but you can't really go wrong with gin and lemon juice.
  8. Perfect Manhattan, same as Jim (except with Wild Turkey Rye) and also inspired by Dan... does not suck.
  9. Forgot to post my Anvil drink last night: Champs Elysees 1 1/2 oz Camus Cognac 1/2 oz Green Chartreuse 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice 1/8 ounce Agave syrup 2 dashes Angostura bitters Not my favorite but not bad.
  10. Good luck, I am sure you won't need it though.
  11. Very nice Dan and Jim! I am not sure what I think about Jeff's drink though....
  12. I do like the look of the meltdown colored drink. Agree about the Hercules, that looks awesome Marc!
  13. Are you trying to say something about my picture taking abilities.
  14. How was that Malbec Jim? Had some Crios Malbec for dinner tonight - it was quite nice. After dinner I made lots of drinks for friends: Rum Alexanders, Knickerbockers, (dirty and non-dirty) martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives, and The Liberals. Good times. Don't have any pictures of drinks but did get a picture of the owl that was hanging out in our backyard during our drinking session.
  15. How strong is the wireless signal? Any improvements?
