  1. ^Very fun album.
  2. Mikey: How do like the Vintage Rye 21yr? I like the Vintage Bourbon 17yr quite a bit, I haven't seen the Rye here though.
  3. Since we are drinking rye.... Sazerac 18, cheers!
  4. Want some of that Bulleit Rye. With dinner: Kunde Cab - ok, not bad, not great After dinner Anvil: White Lady 3/2 oz Bluecoat gin 3/4 oz Cointreau 1/2 oz lemon juice Again, not bad, not great. I decided to add a bit of Cocci Americano (about 1/4 - 1/2 oz) and that really improved the drink.
  5. Looks like you guys are having fun!
  6. Founds some pics of the Steel/Ultraviolet Tristar for those who are interested... maybe a little too girlie for most here though. I kinda like it... of course the solar interior is pretty hawt.
  7. I'm going to put my name down for the loaner program. Thanks!
  8. I do still have the ECD-1. The problem is that it is hooked up to the WA5LE and KGSS and is about 10 feet from my desk where I have the GS-1. (I usually don't leave this setup plugged in because of the lightning storms here.) I think I will do the rational thing and sign up for the loaner program (assuming it is not too late).
  9. This seems to be a better match.
  10. There are a few followers of the Lips of Faith... paging Ken. What kind did you get?
  11. I saw that but I am frankly impatient and suck at writing reviews.
  12. I have had their Pecan Porter and either the IPA or Black IPA or both (cannot remember... I think both). They have a lot of 512 on tap here. I liked the Pecan Porter for a while but then found that a pint of it was too much to drink. I liked the IPAs..
  13. Nice. Nice.
  14. So there is a use for Fernet Branca besides a "shot." Earlier today I had my first Jester King brew(s). I really liked the Black Metal (Imperial Stout).... lots of smokey and chocolately goodness! Probably my second favorite Texas beer after St. Arnold Divine Reserve #10.
  15. Since we are talking about DACs, I have been thinking of upgrading the the Pico DAC on my desktop rig (Mac Mini -> Pico DAC -> GS-1. It will need to have a small footprint. I have been going back and forth between the two. Has anyone heard all three? Rega, Neko, Pico? Probably not but I thought I would give it a go. Edit: Oops, I guess the last post in this thread was in January... maybe I should have posted elsewhere.
  16. Hmm, I guess I would have to buy a 11" MBA then!
  17. Al, I am thrilled to hear of your mom's improvements. Let's hope tomorrow is even better. :prettyprincess:
  18. Jim: Do you get a full day's worth of battery with the extended battery (with medium/light web usage and little phone usage)? Can you install an app to tether to your ipad for free like with Palm Pre (I use MyTether)? I guess I should look into this before I get a new phone.
  19. Damn Al, that really sucks. You are having a bad luck month. Gene: That Guava Grove looks delicious. Spring has been going strong here for a while as well. It is perfect weather, all the flowers are blooming. I really love this time of year. Can't wait to enjoy the weather with some Jester King brews (Wytchmaker Rye India Pale Ale and Black Metal Imperial Stout) later today. It seems I missed quite the cocktail making party last night. Good stuff Marc and Jim! Dan: I watched beers wars last night, very interesting, although I found that Moonshot woman to be quite annoying. She didn't really seem to love beer so much... just seemed to want to make money off of selling some product that tastes horrible - beer with caffeine added doesn't sound so good to me... reminds me of Jolt cola. I was surprised to find out how many beers are now owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev, guess I won't be drinking anymore Boddington in the future.
  20. We are going to Vegas at the end of April (for a conference). I thought about seeing another Cirque at the time (it seems that have about 7 different ones playing!). "O" seems to be the most popular/spectacular. I like the music in the old school ones though. No, I'll have to catch Cirque du Mosh in Vegas.
  21. I have a Palm Pre right now but want to switch to Android/4G. I am with Sprint so my choices are Evo and Shift (or Samsung Epic but I don't want to get that one). I guess they are pretty comparable: similar speeds, both need an extended battery but the Shift is smaller with a keyboard hardware. So I am thinking Shift. Any clear winner between the two? I don't want to switch carriers also.
  22. ^That is a lot nicer than my old Saeco - Vienna del luxe (of course I only paid shipping on mine so it was a good deal). ^^Nice little score Mike (re Emotiva stuff).
  23. Just got back from Cirque du Soleil Ovo, it was pretty amazing. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
  24. Victory Prima Pils - this would be better if it were 90F instead of 80F outside.
