Thanks for all the wonderful birthday wishes!!! You all are awesome and I really cannot ask for a better group of friends. The birthday has been great so far, I have basically done nothing productive (except an easy workout at the gym which was definitely needed). Went to a new restaurant last night for a pre-birthday dinner. Tonight I am going to grill some steaks with Tim (aka hubby) and have some good wine, beer and cocktails. Life doesn't get much better than that. John: Yep, that is the story. It's probably better told in person after a few drinks though.

I almost bought a bottle of the higher proofed Old Raj today. I think Marc said that one was the better of the two. It certainly is more HC approved at 55% than the one I have at a mere 46%.

Definitely like the t-shirt Al... better not wear it in Florida though.

Had some Amalaya Malbec with dinner (Rum and Coke short ribs). I liked the Malbec but preferred my husband's Cabernet Sauvignon (Barnard Griffin) which was excellent - I am going to buy a few bottles next time I am out. Greg, I'll keep an eye out for the Pedras.

Used the Tom Bihn Aeronaut and ID on my trip last week (6 nights/7 days/3 locations). It was just about the perfect size for that trip (and kept me from overpacking). I think the Tri-Star would have been much too small. Also, the ID is an awesome shoulder bag and holds a ton of goodies!

PRS Custom 24 SE guitar (orange). I would love to have the non-SE version but I don't play well enough to justify that kind of guitar.

Singapore Sling I used the recipe from "Vintage" 2 oz Bluecoat gin 3/4 oz Cherry Heering 2 tsp Benedictine 2 tsp Cointreau 2 oz pineapple juice 3/4 oz lime juice 2 dashes of grenadine 1 dash Angostura bitters Splash of soda water on top The drink is pretty good but nowhere near as good as a fruity drink like the Zombie.

I have been on some dates where I would rather be working... I suppose that doesn't help.
