  1. Nothing wrong with Napa + Cab + ribs! Nice. Yesterday, I found a bunch of Burton Baton I put aside last year.
  2. I use Bob's Red Mill SCO and it takes about 20 minutes on the stove (after the water has boiled). Making them in the microwave sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
  3. Same here (except with berries and brown sugar) - steel cut oats rock!
  4. Sizzling Cinnamon flavor Jelly Belly jelly beans
  5. Good looking stuff Mikey, Raffy, and Al. Earlier: Real Ale Lost Gold IPA on draught (not my pic) Now: 2008 La Posta Pizzella Malbec (also not my pic) - good but I think I might prefer the Cocina.... could just be the meal though.
  6. Impressive (as usual). If you drink all that you aren't going to remember much of the weekend.
  7. Mike: You sure you got the right day and time, where is everyone? Seriously, congrat and have fun!
  8. Glad the procedure went well Ken! Hope there is no part three.
  9. Unfortunately, I just canceled my order. :( Some expenses came up last night that were unexpected so I will have to put off getting the GF2 for now.
  10. Same as Jim plus... (deal at B&H) Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2 Digital Micro Four Thirds Camera W/14-42mm Lens (Black) + Panasonic PA45200 45-200mm f/4-5.6 G Vario MEGA O.I.S. Lens for Micro Four Thirds SLR *Hoping* to get slightly better pictures than the LX5 (especially with moving subjects with low light) with a slightly smaller camera than the D90 + 18-200 lens (for some travel)
  11. Got the Gator in the mail today and it is much nicer in person (and I *love* the olive color). Vicki mentioned that it was the perfect size for a gym bag and she was right... it is the perfect size (for me). Looks like the Sunchaser will be only getting used when I need to carry the squash or tennis racquet. A picture next to the Sunchaser, Tom Bihn ID, and Tom Bihn (small Cafe bag) which I had in my office.
  12. But are you drinking it in your undies?
  13. Just wait for round three! Back to Anvil for me. Stinger 9/4 oz Maison Surrenne cognac 3/4 oz bright green Marie Brizzard Creme de Menthe Pretty good for a super minty green drink. I would probably do a 4:1 instead of 3:1 ratio and wouldn't bother wasting Maison Surrenne on this next time though.
  14. According to this article, it is new for 2008. La Posta Starts New Year With New Wines I bought the bottle at a local Texas grocery store (Central Market) but I noticed that they have it at our local spirits/wine/beer warehouse "Specs" so it shouldn't be too hard to find. I thought is was really quite good - better than the Bonarda but that may just be my preference. I haven't tried the "Pizzella" or "Paulucci" Malbecs yet though, so I cannot really compare it to those. Here is the back of the bottle for more information. I had some grapefruit so I decided to make something with that. Palm Beach Special 3/2 oz Blue Coat gin 3/4 oz fresh squeezed grapefruit juice 1/2 oz Carpano Antica sweet vermouth Cheers to Al, Jim, Dan, Raffy, Dinny, Dusty, Mike, and the Hoboken bitches!
  15. I am back I town so I'll be joining you tonight!
  16. Flew back home after a productive trip to Connecticut. I like being home.
