  1. Good luck Wonder Woman! I am happy to donate a little.
  2. Good luck Ken! Glad you are feeling a bit better Brent. I want to be a Winnie the Pimp for Halloween. I am going to be Piglet the Pimp for Halloween.
  3. Good to know about the Mandarine v Shrubb. I really love the Shrubb and find myself reaching for it everytime I make a margarita. Unfortunately this means the Shrubb bottle is almost empty and I have almost a full bottle Cointreau. Looks like it is time to have some people over for Margaritas to use it up.
  4. I didn't know you wanted to check the bag. I was suggesting doing something like the AirBoss for clothes and toiletries (Al and Jim have used it for 2 weeks worth of clothing I believe - see previous posts) and a *smaller* laptop bag for stuff like papers/laptop, stuff you may need for business (like Tom Bihn ID or maybe something smaller). I have carried an Aeronaut (with two packing cubes in the middle section) + Tom Bihn ID successfully for week long trips with no problem. Of course, I am slightly smaller than you so my clothes may take up less space. I think it really depends what you plan on taking. The reason I suggested the Air Boss is that I think it might be better if you are packing things like suit jackets. It can also probably hold more than the Aeronaut since Cordura seems to expand more whereas the Aeronaut really keeps its shape. I cannot really help out with wheeled suggestions since all the wheelies I have are pretty crappy and cheap.
  5. Enjoy the Quads Deepak!
  6. Marc: Are you looking for a carryon or bag to check? I bet Red Oxx Air Boss or Aeronaut plus "personal item" for non-clothing items might be good enough for your needs. The Air Boss can hold a lot of stuff since it expands more than the Aeronaut but doesn't have backpack straps. If you are interested, I can pack some clothes in them for you to see.

Dang, wish I would have seen this a couple of days ago. I been wanting to get a Citizen. I bought the Metro at some point in the past but had to send it back because it was too small. Just tried the code and it is expired.
  8. Cooking with Shelly. 2005 Chateau de Parenchere Cuvee Raphael with aged NY strip steak (Alton Brown method + topped with butter) and other stuff.
  9. Happy Birthday Amos!!!
  10. Welcome back Grahame! Here's hoping the impending nastiness is not actually impending or goes away quickly.
  11. Very nice Colin!!! Tim picked me up two limited edition bottle of Saint Arnold Centenni-Ale last Friday when I was out of town!!! They were made for Rice University's Centennial Celebration. What a nice hubby.
  12. Trying to decide between the Liberal and the Boulevardier. The Liberal won out. Liberal 3/4 oz Vintage Bourbon 17yr 3/4 oz Cocci Torani 3 dashes of Amaro CioCiaro (sub for Amer Picon) 1 dash of Regans' Orange Bitters I think I like the version with Carpano Antica and Torani Amer, obviously scientific experimentation is in order.
  13. The match with Raffy is pretty close: 119/120. Unless Vinatieri misses a field goal, looks like a loss for me. Damn Brady. Also, what the hell happened with your team Jeff?
  14. I need to pick up a bottle of that next time I'm at the spirits warehouse! Back in town and just catching up with this thread. Lots of great looks pics and drinks! I really like Marc's Rainbow Cocktail. Now to figure out what to make...
  15. Happy Birthday Jim!!! I would raise a glass in your honor but I just have a glass of Metamucil here (but maybe that is appropriate given you AARP status ). I'll give you a proper toast when I get back.
  16. Tried some Bulleit Bourbon at a reception tonight. It was pretty good. I think I like it better than their Rye. Of course, I am sick and sleep deprived and was just happy to be done with my talk and having a drink... Also, went to a place for BBQ tonight. The pork was pretty good but they didn't have any beer there... that would certainly not be allowed in Texas.
  17. Nice!!!
  18. Another yes on 17.
  19. Sitting at the airport in Houston, waiting to go to NC. Yippee.
  20. I would love to be listening to music, resting, eating chicken soup and drinking whiskey and honey right now! Thanks for the sympathy John and Al.
  21. Started getting a sore throat last night. Tried to go to bed early, instead I was up half the night - just couldn't get to sleep. This morning my throat is killing me and it is clear that I am sick. It wouldn't be so bad but I have to fly to North Carolina tomorrow to give an invited address and run a special session over the weekend. I need to work on my talk but all I want to do is sleep. Sigh.
  22. Gran Classico Bitters and San Pellegrino - I like the Gran Classico a lot!
  23. Greg, you should at least be aware of what to do with the bottle on the right...
