Dang, wish I would have seen this a couple of days ago. I been wanting to get a Citizen. I bought the Metro at some point in the past but had to send it back because it was too small. Just tried the code and it is expired.

Happy Birthday Amos!!!

Welcome back Grahame! Here's hoping the impending nastiness is not actually impending or goes away quickly.

Very nice Colin!!! Tim picked me up two limited edition bottle of Saint Arnold Centenni-Ale last Friday when I was out of town!!! They were made for Rice University's Centennial Celebration. What a nice hubby.

Trying to decide between the Liberal and the Boulevardier. The Liberal won out. Liberal 3/4 oz Vintage Bourbon 17yr 3/4 oz Cocci Torani 3 dashes of Amaro CioCiaro (sub for Amer Picon) 1 dash of Regans' Orange Bitters I think I like the version with Carpano Antica and Torani Amer, obviously scientific experimentation is in order.

The match with Raffy is pretty close: 119/120. Unless Vinatieri misses a field goal, looks like a loss for me. Damn Brady. Also, what the hell happened with your team Jeff?

I need to pick up a bottle of that next time I'm at the spirits warehouse! Back in town and just catching up with this thread. Lots of great looks pics and drinks! I really like Marc's Rainbow Cocktail. Now to figure out what to make...

Happy Birthday Jim!!! I would raise a glass in your honor but I just have a glass of Metamucil here (but maybe that is appropriate given you AARP status ). I'll give you a proper toast when I get back.

Tried some Bulleit Bourbon at a reception tonight. It was pretty good. I think I like it better than their Rye. Of course, I am sick and sleep deprived and was just happy to be done with my talk and having a drink... Also, went to a place for BBQ tonight. The pork was pretty good but they didn't have any beer there... that would certainly not be allowed in Texas.

Nice!!!

Sitting at the airport in Houston, waiting to go to NC. Yippee.

I would love to be listening to music, resting, eating chicken soup and drinking whiskey and honey right now! Thanks for the sympathy John and Al.

Started getting a sore throat last night. Tried to go to bed early, instead I was up half the night - just couldn't get to sleep. This morning my throat is killing me and it is clear that I am sick. It wouldn't be so bad but I have to fly to North Carolina tomorrow to give an invited address and run a special session over the weekend. I need to work on my talk but all I want to do is sleep. Sigh.

Gran Classico Bitters and San Pellegrino - I like the Gran Classico a lot!

Greg, you should at least be aware of what to do with the bottle on the right...

Thanks, it was just a quick shot with D90 + 35mm f/1.8. Nice little lens.

Marc: Are you inviting us to guess what your reply is? That could be dangerous with this crowd.

I would probably like the Espolon if I had it on its own. It just can't compete when sipped next to some others. It certainly holds its own next to Herradura anejo which is a lot more expensive. I'd be interested to try the Coruba if I see it here.

Sipping some Fortaleza and Casa Noble Anejo (not at the same time). They are both so good. I do think I might like the CN better. The Fortaleza is bit like candy. More testing is in order (although I need to work on a talk for this weekend so the testing may have to wait).
