  1. Apex Peak/Volcano Thanks for helping me help out the economy Ric.
  2. Had a Casa Noble Reposado margarita here in VA. Too bad they put so much sweet and sour mix (or whatever they use) that I couldn't taste the tequila.
  3. I think I decided to call up Todd tomorrow morning and order the Apex Peak/Volcano and wait on the Metric Halo ULN-2 (so that Jim has the opportunity to sell me his later, really cheap of course ). I have a bunch of 6sn7 tubes left over from the SP Extreme so I think I am going to pass on getting the upgrade tubes (Shuguang Treasure CV181-Z and Sophia 6SN7) unless someone tells me that they are worth getting - I can always get them later. By the way, Todd offers a $20 power cords option. I am not sure if I have another Iron Lung Jellyfish power cord. Is Todd's cord reasonable? By the way Mike, I am really jealous of your day. I wish I had time to go for a run or swim or workout at the gym.
  4. Waiting in the security line at the airport. Ever since the merger with United the Continental elite lines have become loooooooong.
  5. That's what you get for being up so early on Sunday morning.
  6. Jeez, that really sucks. I cannot imagine being without water and power in the winter. It is bad enough being without power in the summer.
  7. I am not an faq!
  8. Nice birthday present Mikey!!! Have fun in NYC. If you get lost and happen to end up in DC, please bring the bottle with me to share (I will be there until Wed). Thx. Since you twisted my arm: Tried a new beer on tap from Karbach Brewing (a fairly new brewery in Houston): Rodeo Clown Double IPA. It was fantastic! Definitely the best beer I have ever had from Texas and competes with the best of the IIPAs. Guess I'll have to get some more Dreadnaught and Pliny the Elder to have a proper taste off. I would recommend it if you can find it. Of course, I haven't seen any bottles of it yet so it is probably difficult to get outside of Houston right now. Also had some Brewdog Mikeller Divine Rebel on tap (pretty good but I couldn't finish the glass, too rich). Lastly, a very nice cocktail: Til Kingdom Come Rittenhouse Rye whiskey 100 proof, orange bitters, lemon juice, and Ginger Cardomon sugar, shaken and served up in a coupe. I liked this a lot.
  9. Punt e Mes and sparkling water with a dash of orange bitters but about to head out to a "new" pub for dinner or drinks. Can't decide if I want beer or cocktails though. http://www.thequeenvicpub.com/craft-cocktails.htm
  10. Not bad at all Al.
  11. Sure? I wasn't terribly impressed by the HD25ii except its isolation. I haven't heard the SR80i but the SR200 were pretty fun when I had them. Good price on the Senns though.
  12. Thanks Todd, got your PM and replied.
  13. Clearly a Tyll/Inner Fidelity quality review! I'll remember to steer clear of the unaged ryes. I approve of the improved Lucien Gaudin cocktail! From earlier today: FFF/Brewdog Bitch Please and Clown Shoes Balcorn Unidragon Russian Imperial Stout (shared with a couple of friends). Loved the Bitch Please but it wouldn't be something I would want to drink every week. The RIS was nice too. Fitz: That is one excellent looking Negroni.
  14. Anyone who has a collection of wooden puzzles is ok in my book.
  15. I was actually just trying to help him out a little...
  16. I tried but it didn't work. Since I am lazy and impatient, I just ordered it from BH. I know, I am bad.
  17. I like hamburgers but I have no clue what that refers to.
  18. Just get a pico but in order to continue posting here you better get a Mac. Hey, and other new guy, I am not sure you want to go around touting Ray's stuff... just sayin'.
  19. Well they should really fix their website; mutes deserve good gear too!
  20. Happy Birthday!
  21. Got a pair of PS500's in the mail!
