  1. Dinny: I would go for the LX5 over the G12. But if I were you, I would just get the S95. The LX5 is very nice and I like being able to use a bounce flash on mine (although the flash is just as large as the camera). But the LX5 is not pocketable like the S95 (it is more like a jacket pocket than pants pocket kind of camera). Also, I think S95 does better in low light than the LX5. I was hoping the S95 would go little cheaper than $289 (which is what it has been for the last week or so until it went up to $291) for BF/CM but I still may buy one at this price.
  2. ^ Marc: That's a lot of Fernet Branca!
  3. Got my Blackrapid Sport-2 camera strap today. It is awesome - wish I could walk so I could take some pictures. The only thing that is annoying is not being able to use the RRS L-plate and tripod with having to unscrew the FastenR-3 every time. I guess there is the RRS quick release clamp option but that doesn't seem very secure. Anyone use the strap with the a quick release clamp? Edit: Just saw the Blackrapid FR-T1 fastener for tripods. Has anyone tried this? http://www.blackrapi...hardware/fr-t1/ Edit #2: NM, seems like the FR-T1 won't work. Colin - you need this strap, a macro, and a tripod. Get on it.
  4. Welcome home Lloyd! It must be nice to be out of the hospital.

I had these for about a year and had no problems, then sold then to a friend who has had no trouble with them. I really liked them when I had them so I bought a pair again to carry around as a "backup" pair of IEMS when traveling (and to watch movies on the plane) to replace the ER6i I have been using (hubby "took" my ER4P since he finds them easier to use than the custom Westone ES5 I won for him at Canjam).
  17. Glad I bought my RRS L-plate second hand.
  18. Shouldn't this be in the bacon thread? NM, I see that it is there.
  19. Nice wine for $20.
  20. Nice! I got the SR-007 from Deepak on Wed and have been really enjoying them (of course, this means the Peak is feeling a bit unloved). I have also been spending quite a lot of time with the Pico Dac/amp and Grado PS500 while hooked up to the CPM machine. Also very nice. Glad I didn't end up selling the Pico.

Don't know if this is a great price but Metric Halo (along with bhphoto and Vintage King Audio) has the ULN-8 on sale for 4495.00. https://www.mhsecure.com/mhdirect/product.php?productid=5&cat=0&page=1
  22. Nice Jim!
  23. Tom Bihn "Shop" Bag (small) I have had this for a few months and it is great for carrying a couple of bombers or bottles of your favorite liquids along with some snacks. It has two pockets on the sides perfect for bottles. It is really light and folds down to be very compact. But after the surgery I have found this bag to be absolutely indispensable! I can hang it around my neck (the padding on the straps keeps it from hurting) and carry stuff from one place to the next (fits ipad, Macbook Air 11", bottles of water, sandwiches, etc.) Highly recommended if you are on crutches.
  24. Went for a walk (with crutches of course) down to the end of the block and back. My hip was feeling pretty good. I am definitely putting more weight on the surgical leg and not having pain. Could have gone farther but the wrists and palms couldn't keep up.
