Since we are the topic of vacuums... I am looking for a decent vacuum that one can use for hardwood floors and rugs. We have a Dyson which is great for the carpeted bedrooms upstairs but is too powerful for large throwrugs on the hardwood floors (it sucks them up). Any suggestions for small cheap cleaners that don't have as much suction (we don't have an animals)?

40 miles, wow! I haven't even left the house yet. I have a commutor and mountain bike. Unfortunately I'm not so sure there are so many places nearby to ride a road bike. The roads are not really an option for multiple reasons. I'll have to check out the bike paths along the bayous before I spend a bunch of cash on a bike that sits in the garage.

The ride looks fun. I am jealous. Everytime I see your new bike Vicki, it makes me want to get a road bike. Totally understand the "too fat" comment. I was hoping to lose weight this year but instead gained because of my surgery. Even though I have spent a lot of time "exercising" (i.e. physical therapy), approximately 1.5 - 2 hours per day, it is not the kind of exercise that gets you in shape or burns the calories. So here I am heavier than I have ever been before. I was hoping to be almost 100% at this point (it is almost 5 months past surgery), but I guess that is asking for too much.

I really like the HD650. Other cans have come and gone (including 600 and 580's) but the 650 are here to stay.

The HD video was a bit choppy and stopped a lot more than Netflix. Maybe a lot of people are trying it out and their servers are busy. Not sure. Edit: I guess my connection might have been slow (although I have no reason to believe that). I'll give it a try again later.

Do they smell like watermelon or fresh cut grass? I would pay more for that.

And compared to the HD650....

Found out that streaming on amazon prime instant video on ps3 is not as nice as Netflix on ps3.
