To a harrowing play yesterday at the Bristol Old Vic. A stage adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel of the same name "Never Let Me Go" Children are brought up, cloned, so that as adults they can be harvested for organs. None of them remotely question this. That is the basic plot, but it is completely brought to life by the script and wonderful acting. Even if they survive three "donations", they never survive a fourth. Just finished The Diplomat: Season 2 Intrigue, smart writing, twists and turns, and fabulous interiors and locations. File under political escapism.

Of course he did it very well. Sad that it was his passing the was the spark for my discoveries, but happy to be here regardless.

I've done a lot with photography over the last few months, from re-editing a bunch of shots I took of a car show in a Walmart parking lot (ya rly) in the summer of '07, to mucking about with my 300mm Nikkor to completely missing the aurora borealis we had here. I also got divebombed by a flock of honking Canada geese.
