Steve is truly a master of marketing and promoting his work, but I thought I would try to get a few shots of this headphone rack that didn't contain his belly or fingers or our messy shop. It is not an easy thing to photograph but here are some shots that give a better flavor of this beautiful piece.8 points

George Benson "Bad Benson". I've always liked his version of "Take Five"5 points

Old Main Chapel by Ron Miles, Bill Frisell, Brian Blade (2024) https://album.link/i/1735388614 Example: I have been trying to get to this one since its release a couple of weeks ago. I was surprised by a new Miles release, having passed in 2022 - RIP. But this was a Blue Note recording from a 2011 gathering. Great sound and some really good parts. But I have to say that there were a couple times it was marginal for me. I know, no wrong notes in jazz, but some are more pleasing than others. But a worthy listen for me.3 points

The less Microsoft, the better. I installed Ubuntu 24.04 and it is working well so far. Still very buggy, though.2 points

Working on getting M3 back up and running. Battery was dead. Gone are the days of 48/60/72/84 month warranties and in are 3-year-on-the-high-end warranties. Well, pull my 275$ AGM battery and check for a build date. 5/21. #WINNING Took it in to get tested/charged/possibly warrantied. As long as I didn't buy it on 5/30 or 5/31, I'd get coverage. I've abstained from biscuits for a bit, and my warranty runs out on 6/14/24. It was discharged so much it took 15+ minutes for the machine to even tell us how long a charge would take. Instead, it came back as dead. Got the call; I pick up a brand new 275$ AGM battery tomorrow.2 points

Plural form of "tomat", Swedish. Produce of Italy, one of the components used in this build of Greek extraction. Rub fish with juice of lemon. Cut onion in thin slices. Cut tomatoes in chunks, save the juice. Chop parsley, peel garlic. Fry onion for a few minutes, stir. Add tomatoes with juice, press garlic, add parsley, oregano, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes. Put half the tomato stir in casserole, put fish on top, add the rest of the tomato stir. Add wine. Bake in oven. I've used cod and salmon successfully, original recipe I guess calls for whatever the Mediterranean Sea brings.1 point

Also, I realize that this isn't the best place to seek out customers, but I just want to state that I am open to building stands, faceplate, amp cases, gear racks, what have you. I'm hoping to retire from the heavy lifting of construction work, but still want to keep busy building things I love. Also open to small furniture pieces, cutting boards & the usual wood crafts.1 point

I have never seen the word tomater. I have heard the word pronounced tomater quite often in Texas. I'm guessing you're not in Texas. I'm going to guess Iceland or Norway?1 point

It’s pretty noticeable because the second violins don’t play in a way that projects sound into the hall. Go listen to your favorite stereo mix and it will be immediately noticeable as the cellos won’t be in the hard right channel. It creates more “space” for sure in some of the more complex string passages. its pretty traditional for Mahler. I agree. That’s why we just have to end the violence once and for all.1 point

Building the first headphone stand I've done in at least 10 years. Actually probably closer to 15. I had a return customer contact me recently, and the timing was right. Got the hanger pieces milled up today from the same Walnut burl as the cookie table above. This will be a wall hanging headphone holder, with 5 hanger pieces and a curly Maple back board. Pics to come after it's finished.1 point

Yeah that’s what I did. To be honest I was lazy.. I found a really nice place to get a nice slab cut ((https://berdollsawmill.com/slabs/) but I am running out of time on this project so I got scrappy.1 point

All bookcases completed. And the other project I alluded to... This Walnut cookie was cut from a tree on Al's Brother's property, where now stands his new house. This table will now sit on the covered veranda, not far from where the tree originally stood. Al found the base from a seller we've used before for table legs. Hard to see from my poor photography skills, but there's lots of burl in this piece.1 point
