  1. I'm biased, as the games are some of my all-time favorites, but the show seems to be off to a very good start. I'm impressed how they've adapted it to TV. Apparently about half the creative team has played the games and the other half has not. That feels like a good balance.

  2. Clearly does not have cats. Mine would be inside those through the reflex ports having a great time.

  3. During the summer I will typically have one running. Not really able to keep up most days. I will be adding the Mr Cool at some point, but if I get the bigger Oneida 35 gallon Supercell, the wall space may be taken that I need for the mini-split. All that is left it 3 days of applying Arm-R-Seal to wrap this step stool up.

  4. I've been able to use my RME ADI-2 PRO & RMAA 6.4.5 to measure GRLV power supply output noise. Kevin asked about using my setup with a DC block. It started with a 10uf film cap and 10k resistor then an audio transformer to isolate the RME from the power supply. I discovered a few sources of noise and removed them to get the GRLV output noise down to -120 dB. The first source of noise was 50 Hz and it's harmonics from 7 LED volt meter displays. The second was from not having ground connected from the RME to the power supply. The third was 60 Hz and it's harmonics because the GRLV circuit was too close to the power transformers. 1" was too close and 4" was much better. The pics in the previous post shows the progress over the last 10 days. The final 2 pics show the positive and negative voltage outputs on left and right channels. Then the final pic shows before and after the GRLV circuit. Here is the DC block circuit used to measure the output noise. I used one for each channel.

  5. Full Circle Nadje Noordhuis 2022 https://album.link/i/1636359193 Example: I was captivated by the opening of the first song (example), as I was poking through the list of newer Jazz releases. The rest of the album didn't disappoint.

  6. It was excellent, Have to admit that Emily Blunt is a bit of a crush of mine. Series 3 of Happy Valley is also excellent.

  7. Some days I have fiddly, little stuff that takes time, with little visual reward. The homeowners wanted to save these built-ins. We had to remove them temporarily to wire the walls behind. Either in the removal or during it's life, the cabinet was missing some little trim pieces that you just can't find today. So I have to manufacture my own. The end result just looks like nothing was done, when in fact it was a lot of fiddling.

  8. Yasuhiro Kohno Trio + One - Song of Island A private press rarity that few know of, ‘Song of Island’ was the third album from pianist Yasuhiro Kohno’s trio, recorded live at the jazz club and live house (gig venue) ‘Again’ in August 1985. Pressed up in small numbers, ‘Song for Island’ was issued on the private ASCAP Records, set up by pianist and band leader Yasuhiro Kohno. The album is a follow up to Kohno-san’s previous two albums, ‘Peace’ and ‘Roma in the Rain’, released on the cult Aketa’s Disk label. However, unlike the ‘Peace’ and ‘Roma in the Rain’ albums, ‘Song of Island’ has never been reissued before – until now.The title track was included on J Jazz volume 3. This is a very special album that captures a special time in Japanese jazz, when exemplary acoustic jazz was still being performed and recorded by dedicated and talented artists at the height of mid-80s synth pop. ‘Song of Island’ features four original compositions by Yasuhiro Kohno plus a distinctive take on a jazz standard. PERSONNEL: Yasuhiro Kohno - (piano) Masahiro Kanno - (vibes) Tsutomu Numakami - (bass) Hironobu Fujisawa - (drums) Recorded live on August 28th and 29th 1985 at "Live House Again"

  9. Just read about a company that 1) restores older Apogee ribbon speakers, and 2) makes their own in the same tech vein.... I liked some of the old Apogee's, so was nice to hear this. Clarisys Audio is the name....
