Those are actually silistors and I'd remove them at this point. They don't age well and at 30+ years old... jut them off. The damping is on all sides of the housing and needs to be very dense or it won't work at all.1 point

That looks very nice, but I would still stick with the strap that came with it. I really like taper on straps for elegant watches, but I agree that it would be great on the GS. I received a mid-80s Leonard Paris 36x36" scarf that I found on eBay.

Another baseball great is gone. Frank Robinson was MVP in both leagues, was the first African American manager in the MLB, Giants manager in a tough/sad period, and is in the Hall of Fame obviously.
