This thread really sucks.

Power supply technically doesn't work (look at all that rectifier tube rolling) and the amp circuit is terrible so not something I've ever recommend. For me it ticks most of the "fuck it, let's just make some money" boxes. 6SN7's driving 300B's is always going to suck but marrying it to cheap as dirt iron from China with a PSU which breaks all the rules for tube rectified PSU's just takes the cake. There are also small issues such as how the filaments are done (AC with a hum pot... in a headphone amp) and the Woo spirit of slapping on some upgraded parts that don't matter. Same can be said about the DNA amps, they are pretty much terrible and again, dirt cheap transformers and fucked filament supplies/PSU. I'm well aware how expensive iron is but opting for the cheapest off the shelf Edcor unit is just fucked. Alo Studio Six is also guilty of this as well as one of the worst tube amp designs I've ever seen.

Hmmm. Sounds like there are advantages to our itty bitty screech owls. Non aggressive, they don't require much habitat, and they're fun to watch. Fuel efficient compact models.

I kicked off the commuting season this morning. It was a balmy 29 when I left the house a little after 6am but felt great to be back out on the bike.

I've been watching this great grey owl all day. It's been staying within 75 m of my house since I woke up. Owls are awesome and I need a better camera. That is all.

I miss the simple life. Med school can be quite a drag sometimes. The Grand Canyon is a hostile place for all life in general but I wonder how many people go there and come out with it being their happy place - the place they go to in their mind when they are down. The ice cold water that rattles your spine. The merciless sun that glares down without care and dries you up within minutes to where you pray for the cold spray as you raft down the Colorado river. The lovely conversations to be had at camp sites with people you would have never ordinarily met. The night sky unblemished by street lights and with the moon so bright that you wonder why you brought a flashlight in the first place. It is hostile but it is a simple place. It is my happy place. To visit it again someday...
