  1. Had more Physio, showing good improvement in reduced swelling, and pain free articulation. Will continue as we work on the quads and try to get all the forward extension back on the right leg. Rear extension is not a problem ( > 135o) Had a consult with rheumatologist now we have the results of the blood test back, and ... I don't have TB, or Lyme Disease. I do have Normal Liver and Kidney Functions, Signs of inflammation (duh!) and ... This is where the conversation turned interesting. How often have you had a conversation with a doctor where they asked you "Are you a Creationist or an Evolutionist?" .... Gave the obvious response, and we discussed genetic variation across populations and evolutionary factors which led to the reveal Which meant fitting this to the facts / symptoms that This makes sense. There is the mystery trigger / initial infection - which was non obvious / I can't recall, but that would lead to the swelling being some kind of auto-immune response ( high white cell count - but no infection in cultured effusion) Given that the swelling is going down and things are improving, recommendation is avoid surgery continue physio while it helps / shows improvement see if it clears up on its own (over next couple of months) only if things don't get better would he consider medical treatments ( which have side effects / risks) Better than "non specific inflammation", and recovery has the right trajectory at the moment. I wonder how the conversation would have gone if I had said I was a creationist?

  7. The amps do need to be adjusted when swapping tubes but it's pretty easy to do. The adjustment pots are pretty much the hardest part as they are touchy and can break apart. On the last T1 I bought back to life both the offset pots split in two when I tried to adjust them.

  8. Had you been a creationist you'd have been prescribed an exorcism. Probably. It's great you don't need a surgery. HLA-B27 isn't a condition by itself, but may be present on a few rheumatologic diseases. Hopefully you just have this knee inflammation and stops at that. Best wishes.

  9. Just like old times. I'm so happy. Looking forward to tomorrow. Jacob, here's a couple shots from yesterday, just to make you want him more. The guilty face and dirty beard of a cat food thief. Puppy love face. I'll get out of new mom picture pushing mode sometime soon, but he's a pretty great little puppy, even though he peed on John's floor. Raffy and I are riding in the morning, so off to sleep.

  14. By the way, I can vouch for Joel - he's been a friend of mine (originally from HF) for many years. Joel, listen to Ari, he knows what he is talking about. Also, don't do/say anything too stupid here - a warning. Also, when you joined there may not have been a welcome message, so I might as well tell you to read this in case you haven't already.

  15. You are welcome in advance for saving you so much trouble, and possibly your life. Don't fucking touch this thing. I'm not saying that the piece of shit built 50 years ago is good and will work properly for another 50 years, it probably isn't good, and it probably wont work that long. I'm saying that this is the worlds worst first project.

  17. The tickets are actually for the May Indy Car road course race on the old Indy F1 course. I'm looking forward to going back to the Brickyard and watching a whole bunch of cars dive down into the turn 1/2/3 complex. And yeah, if you have not been to an F1 race Mikey you owe it to yourself. The noise is glorious and will probably still be so with turbo'd V6's. I'd like to hang with you in Austin in the future as the 1st year was a good deal of fun. And I do tend to rant about F1, but to me there really is no other game in town. I'll follow it until my eyes open no more.
