I read in this morning's paper (a physical one that was left behind at the Peter Pan Diner) that we have won a Pulitzer prize. Thus, we relinquish our crown as the Susan Lucci of newspapers! It was for a story that I had exactly nothing to do with, but it was one of the coolest stories ever. So it's all good. Congratulations are in order for Sally Kestin and John Maines!
I have 28 tires on the DeSalvo and 32 spoke Chris King hubs and while heavy these wheels seem bomb proof.
I also have Chris Kings on the MTB that Brent's friend made for me that are fantastic and he does it for a very reasonable price and quickly.
I assume your bike came with 24 spoke wheels which are going to be tough to keep round with someone over 300 pounds.
Yesterday, for lunch, as part of my birthday celebration, we went to Yountville, CA (I can see Al's house from here!—not really) to go to The French Laundry.
First time there, a lot of hype, etc.
If you've ever thought about it, just do it—you won't regret it.
I took no pics at the meal so that I could be completely present. It was an excellent decision. Happy Birthday to me.
