Edit: one idea, is maybe log taper of the pot was too steep. Need to try another one.

It's definitely quieter. Reasonable loudness is reached at 15-16 o'clock. Pot is 10k series type, B+/B- is 400vdc, but those don't affect volume. The only change I made is I used TTA004B,Q and TTC004B,Q instead of KSC2690AYS and KSA1220AYS. I doubt that it could be the reason as they are direct replacements. It would be nice to find a solution.

A.I. Hot Cross Buns Influenced by Paul Mary A bloke called Jake And The NYT Changes? To cater to the the lapsed/recovering Catholics amongst the Brits (Joanne included) the raisins were soaked overnight in Bullit Rye to "plump" them. No candied peel at short notice so similarly soaked dried cranberries. Same story for "mixed spice", so mostly Sri Lankan Cinnamon, with a bit of Garam Masala. Orange and Lemon zest in the dough. Glaze was (homemade) orange marmalade diluted with the left overs from the soaking. Using the oven with a pan of water filled from a kettle worked well as a proving oven. Turned out nice.

No one by that nom de plume in my circles. But if they know me, I will certainly allow them to pour me a beverage. - cheers Back to 'training'. Oh and while I met my goal, Communities of Belonging has not...

Honestly, I think you should just put your feet up and have a wee dram? You know, to prepare. PS: I've got to ask you, who is WhiskyPriest? Been chatting with him on another forum and he's definitely a Plowedster and definitely knows you. Obviously if this violates secrets of the confessional then, you know, tell me to fuck off. -
Thanks for all the generosity.. I guess I should move the goalposts... :}

I buttered some bread and you're over your goal already!

I keep my (now nearly 20 year old) Nikon D200 and 300mm F/4 on a lowboy chest in the kitchen, ready for whatever fauna shows up. Mr. Cardinal, being his usual show-off self. The pond froze for a preciously small period of time. Missing from these photos is the excited "roof roof roof!" noises that green sweater dog kept making. The sounds echoed off the ice and trees surrounding the pond. It was quite a scene to behold. Tune in next time for a 2006 logging camp! -

Three weeks later, here is the outcome. A single enclosure all-in-one with GRHV and GRLV with high voltage and heater soft-start. The 10M90S is attached to the side wall, and thanks to the large size of the metal, the temp is about 104℉(40 ℃) after 1 hour. The only thing is I made the mistake of the main soft start module(the one on the power outlet), which makes it only functional when you use the back power switch. In this way, I keep the front power switch on all the time to avoid the ripple current. Still have a huge room to be improved. Planning to add a DC power supply for the heater for the DHT version, as well as the flashing soft start indicator.

The pcb's showed up and the "unfuck" mod has been applied. The grill does help tame the top end a little bit and the end result is quite good. Still some irregularities but I'm not bothered enough to spin up a couple of new plates to try and change that. Now would I recommend this mod to anyone? Yup, the Corina sounds like shit in stock form and this totally transforms it to something not quite perfect... but far superior to stock. Now would I recommend anybody actually being crazy enough to do this... no! The plastic discs are really glued in there and getting the shards of plastic out there... well it isn't pleasant work. Some blood was spilled and injuries sustained plus some nasty chemicals used. Now I'll go back to listening to them which I'd never want to do in stock form

OK, picked up a 7/SB on ebay for $50 + ship. Which was fair because this poor thing has had a hard life. There's rust, and wax melted out of the transformers. Yes, it's a unidirectional zener, marked 1Z100. My guess is that the current equivalent is ZY100 which will produce a voltage of about 83v at best, then 3x cockroft-walton and a 1uf reserve cap *before rather than after the ballast resistor, and the ballast resistor is 4.7M rather than the 2.2 or 3.3 specified in some of the wall-powered schematics. I'm pretty sure I've seen pictures of a 7/SB that had an additional transformer in the bias circuit but not this one, and the board looks identical to a gutshot of an SRD-6/SB i saw recently. I still think it's weird that i have yet to find a /SB official schematic. *shrug* maybe they never published one. Now i wonder what's in the fairly rare SRD-7/SBMK2.

First, I want to say many humble thanks for all of your support in the past. Our non-profit, Communities of Belonging, are so happy to be having our 4th annual Walk for Belonging as a part of the national Second Chance Month. April 26, 2025, Green Lake, Seattle... As with many non-profits, we are always struggling with funds to keep things running. And sad to say that our mission is under direct attack. Grants that have helped us in the past have been cut or eliminated. Our message of "We Believe in a World where Everyone Belongs" is not supported under the current administration. We have an opportunity to open another house, and are actively working on how we can support the trans community. We are truly trying to remove all the barriers that we can to help those that need as second chance in life. My team page and walk info on GiveButter - https://givebutter.com/WalkforBelonging2025/michaelmaddock Happy to talk about our mission and any questions you may have about our organization... Cheers and thanks, Mikey

The Hoff forum had a discussion on the same topic. https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/audiophile-rca-switcher.1172100/ Switching?, you'll want a remote, right? RCA Switch Box 4 in 3 Out: 4 Way AV Splitter 3 Output with Remote Control for Audio Video Distribution, RCA Splitter Switcher Composite Video L/R Audio Selector Box for DVD STB Game Consoles https://a.co/d/ddbyc0a $15.99 . Not reassuringly expensive enough? 🫰 Rca source selectors are a bit niche, AV composite selectors have RCA audio as a side effect, and may be more readily available in pro / rack mount versions (avoids cable drag) (Albeit retired) https://www.reddit.com/r/CommercialAV/s/tV8Qfc3ub4 E.g. https://www.extron.com/product/sw6a?subtype=12 Doesn't "Shinybow" scream audiophile cred? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/872199-REG/shinybow_sb_5430_4_x_2.html/ For my sins, I may have had a radio shack AV selector (black, with silver keys that "clicked") that did just that. It may Even be in some meet photographs from the other site. I have no idea where it is right now. Have fun on your journey!

So my headphone amps outnumber my sources so looking for a RCA switcher. One in and 3-4 out. Was eyeing the Luxman AS-44 Line Switch simply because it's pretty, can be found on eBay, and the matching P-1 would be involved, but can't find any photos of inside and open to other options as, after all, it's just a passive switcher. There's Goldpoint too. And yeah, I know the d-_-b solution would be to buy more DACs. Any thoughts?
