Almost finished. A classic for a reason.

You might say I follow the strategy of DIY T2 PSU by Kevin. I have two PSU I’m using for all my electrostatic amplifiers. One original T2 PSU and one I made myself basically same as the original but with KGSSHV PSU regulators. Bottom line: I’ve never have bother about grounding strategies. So far, I haven’t had any issues with ground loops that I’m aware of.

1Q84 by Haruki Marukami Fun and extremely long...

the neutrik jacks i used in the diy t2 are actually 4 wires. the connector shell is a seperate wire. i put in a jumper to chassis ground for that wire.

Correct me if I am wrong. The Ground Pin(Pin1) has been connected to the XLR socket shell by default by the manufacturer in some cases. This way, the ground pin should be left unconnected to avoid a looping ground. In this case, the loop may be like this: XLR(Pin 3)-> AMP signal ground - > L bracket - > chassis -> XLR(Pin 3). I just realised the L-bracket is isolated to the signal ground, so it should be fine.🤐 I assumed the amp chassis ground wires are connected to the PSU chassis somewhere, and the amp signal grounds are merged with the XLR ground, and then connected to the PSU power supply ground somewhere.

Two wins.

I like the idea about to-252. First draft… …have to think about this. XLR ground pin to signal ground on PCB.

Didn't take pics, but cooked bacon, hashbrowns and pancakes on the new griddle. Dorothy cooked scrambled eggs inside. Worked fantastic! My assistant griddler (DOTU)) and I made quick work of it, and had fun.

IXTP10M90S can be replaced with IXCP10M90S(TO-252). If KSC2690 can be replaced by something else with an SMD package, we can eliminate all the aluminum oxide isolations. BTW, what is your grounding strategy? Seems like the ground pins of the XLR input go back to the PSU enclosure.

That's very Spanish of you!

Tonight's Culture https://pa.marin.edu/blog/music-marin-chamber-players-forced-flee Educational, where we learned about the irony of fleeing Nazi Germany only to be later denounced to the house committee on Un-American activities because you were the wrong kind of anti-fascist. Next task to look up some movies with soundtracks by korngold

Tomorrow morning I will attempt bacon, hashbrowns and pancakes. Dorothy will cook the eggs inside in a skillet, as I worry the seasoning is not ready for eggs yet. There's going to be a learning curve, as this thing can get plenty hot! I'm already thinking of shrimp jambalaya, stir fry dinners, fried rice, and so on. Smash burgers for certain!

Love my flattop, Steve. Smash burgers might be the best way to eat them, homemade friend rice is sofa king good, and being able to cook 9-12 pancakes at once is a first world problem, but still glorious to overcome.

Nice job!

The cats broke the glass lamp in our entryway, so I needed a non-glass replacement. Similar to a design I made a few years ago, but smaller and with some refinements.

Tried a new to us local restaurant, Maison Pucha Bistro. Pleasant experience on the food and drink. For anyone in H-town, I would recommend the escargot, beef empanadas, the bouillabaisse and the lamb osso buco. I asked them to make a rye sidecar and they did a great job...not overly sweet. HS

Just finished the Season 3 of the White Lotus It could have made a decent 2 hour movie. I spent most of the time playing guitar.

mini T2 with new boards. STN9360 replacing the obsolete KSA1156. Here the 01N100D are replaced with 10M90S and it works all right. The amplifier is configured for EL34/6CA7. Amplifier for 300B by member mla a few posts up. He also have 6A3 - see if he can be persuaded to test them.

The Illegals https://www.townofrossca.gov/recreation/page/live-common-april-25-2025 The illegals in Ross are a eagles cover band, not the help. They may want to change their name in light of recent enforcement. They did play hotel California, however.
